Description of Role |

Buy4Now is a growing e-business company that is focused on building end to end solutions in the online shopping space. Due to our ongoing success in Ireland and the US, we have a requirement for an experienced developer who will work with the development team in building sophisticated software solutions. Buy4Now is a Microsoft Certified Partner.
The technologies deployed include Microsoft Windows 2003, SQL Server 2000/2005 Enterprise, Microsoft Clustering Services, IIS, ASP, ASP.NET and C#. Good skills are also needed in HTML,DHTML and JavaScript. All development is based on C#, ASP.NET and UML. The candidate will have experience in requirements gathering, designing object oriented systems interfacing with relational databases and will be familiar with UML and Database Modelling.
Microsoft Certification with C# and .NET will be a significant advantage, however the right candidate will have no problem in climbing learning curves and will be a self starter with good initiative.
The role will also involve working with clients/partners and many opportunities will be available for personal development and growth over time. |

Principal Duties and Responsibilities |

Capture Requirements from Clients and manage Clients expectations

Input into Process Development including CMM Level 2

Design Overall Solution using UML based process

Lead team development of web based solutions and windows solutions (including Pocket PC)

Develop solution in conjunction with team

Design Databases using T-SQL, Stores procedures
-
Unit and System Test
-
Responsibility for Project release including configuration management and associated support
-
Provide Support for solution ( including out of hours if necessary) |

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities |

Third Level Degree or higher in relevant subjects

Microsoft Certification an advantage

Modelling in UML, ERD, Use Cases

.Net. .Net Compact, C#, ASP.NET, JavaScript, HTML, XML, Legacy Microsoft Languages
